In Super Gerball (by Binary Sun) you play Gerry the Gerbil. You love to roll around in your ball, and you have the run of your house. You start off in the garden, and you have until midnight to navigate and survive the mazes throughout your house.
Super Gerball reminded me of the game Best Friends - you start at point a and have to manouevre around the track, picking up health points until you get to the end point. There’s a difference, however - in Best Friends, you navigate the character, but in Super Gerball, you tilt the board to move Gerry. Also, in Super Gerball, the boards are more complicated, with moving parts that can flip you off the board, and rotating and moving pieces to the board.
Gameplay is divided into easy, medium, and hard. The graphics are ok, and, since you’ll be spending a lot of time staring at it, the Gerry’s head is cute. The music is repetitive, but the sound effects and the announcer are good. Especially funny is the sound Gerry makes when he plunges off a track.
The demo of the game only lets you play a limited number of boards. The full game contains 60 boards, and lets you design and edit your own. You also get 3 unique endings. This is a cute and challenging game that all ages can enjoy.
